How Little Buddy handles your information

This page explains what Little Buddy collects when you use littlebuddy.sg, why we ask for it, and how to reach us with a privacy question. We keep this description tied to what the site actually does.

Who we are

Little Buddy is a parent-built guide to paediatric clinics, kids activities, and family life in Singapore. This policy covers this website only. We are not a clinic and do not give medical advice or take bookings.

Contact form

The form on our contact page asks for your name, email address, a topic, an optional place name, and a message. If you arrived from a particular directory, the form may also include that category.

Submitting the form does not send those details to our website server. It opens a draft in your own email app, addressed to tez@apps4u.sg, using a mailto: link. The note is never stored in a database on this site. If you close the draft without sending it, we do not receive it.

Email that does reach us is used only to reply to that note — for example to correct a listing or follow up on a suggestion. We do not sell it or use it for marketing lists.

Google Maps

Clinic and kids-activity pages can show a map and place search. Those features load Google Maps in your browser. Google may set its own cookies and collect data under Google’s Privacy Policy. We do not set those cookies ourselves.

If you type into place search, that query is sent to Google Places so the suggestions can appear. It is not sent to a Little Buddy server. If you tap Directions, your browser opens Google Maps. When a start location is already known in the page, that link can include it so Google can plot a route.

“Near me” location

The optional “Near me” control asks your browser for permission before it reads your location. If you allow it, the coordinates stay in your browser and are used only to sort listings and show distance. We do not send them to our servers.

If you refuse or your browser cannot share a location, the directories still work. You can search or filter without using “Near me”.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see which pages are used, so we can improve the guide. The Google tag loads on every page and sends usage data to Google. Google may set cookies on littlebuddy.sg and collect device and page-view information under Google’s Privacy Policy. We do not use Analytics to identify you by name, and we do not sell this data.

If you prefer not to be measured this way, you can use Google’s opt-out browser add-on, or block cookies and scripts for Google in your browser.

Cookies

This site sets first-party cookies only through Google Analytics. Those cookies typically start with _ga and help Google tell returning browsers apart from new ones. They are not used to log you in.

Google Maps can also set its own cookies when a map or place search loads, as described above. Your browser settings control whether cookies are stored. Blocking them does not stop you from using the directories, though maps and visit counts may not work as intended.

What we do not collect

You do not need an account to use Little Buddy. We do not store form data on our servers, and we do not use your contact details for marketing lists.

Questions, access, and corrections

Under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), you can ask what personal data we hold about you and request a correction. For this site, that is typically an email you chose to send us. Write to tez@apps4u.sg and we will help.
